ISL Waste Management wins gold in NI Environmental Benchmarking Survey
With the environment always at the heart of ISL Waste Management, we are delighted to announce that we have achieved gold status in the latest Northern Ireland Environmental Benchmarking Survey.
Organised by Business in the Community, Northern Ireland, the survey assesses how organisations embed environmental and sustainable business practices into their corporate strategies and day to day operations. It also recognises organisations who go above and beyond their legal requirements to minimise carbon footprints and environmental impacts.
It’s not all just about us either. A number of our clients were also recognised for their achievements over the past twelve months. A warm congratulations to Norbev, Henderson Wholesale, Sodexo and Aramark to name a few.
Zero Waste to Landfill
One of the most important findings in this year’s survey is that ever more businesses are diverting 100% of their waste from landfill and a fast growing number are rapidly moving towards achieving this goal.
Although some organisations are finding imaginative and innovative ways to dispose of their waste ethically and responsibly, while prioritising principles of circular economy themselves, many are also placing their trust in a waste management company to take on this task.
As a zero waste to landfill business, we work with all our clients to help them achieve the same status. We have already helped a large number of companies across NI to improve their recycling and disposal procedures and endeavour to assist even more in 2019.
If you’re interested in changing your waste practices, in becoming more sustainable and responsible while also potentially saving on cost please get in touch with our team, or check out our case studies.
